While Yiddish Music in nowadays is usually associated with klezmer music and shtetl, this song which is composed by Gershon Leizerson on lyrics by one of the most prominent and controversial Yiddish poets, Itzik Feffer, is trying to put Yiddish into a new context of modern psychedelic indie music, stating it as a more than ever alive language and not only a part of a nostalgy for our Jewish past.
